Lea Pinaud is a New Hampshire native, hates land and is always wishin' she was fishin'. She began recreational fishing as a toddler with her father and grandfather. From small brooks along dirt roads off coastal Maine, to tournaments as a young child on Lake Winnipesaukee, to the Gulf of Maine jigging mackerel with her grandmother, striped bass and blues with her father, or the elusive propeller fish with her mother. Currently, she is slaying giant bluefin tuna as First Mate on F/V NO LIMITS.
Pinaud began tuna fishing in 2019 aboard the F/V NO LIMITS with her Captain, Michelle Cicale. On their second trip out they they had the ultimate fish fight lasting 32 long, grueling hours. The Season of 2020 she also fished on F/V Jah Reel, a commercial and charter vessel, working groundfish/tuna charters and fishing into the icy cold winters of December in New England. By 2021, she also began hauling lobster traps. In 2022, Lea began filming the Internationally known show Wicked Tuna on National Geographic and continues to fish big tuna while pursuing her captain's license.
