Capt. Juan Carlos Torruella was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is a sport fishing guide with over 40 years fishing the inshore and offshore waters of Puerto Rico. Capt. Torruella's charter fishing company, Extreme Fishing Puerto Rico, specializes in light-tackle inshore and offshore fishing trips on the north shore of Puerto Rico. He is an avid tournament captain and angler and has an extensive list of tournament wins to his credit, both locally and internationally. He has won the prestigious Club Nautico de San Juan International Billfish tournament twice.
