Stephen and Michelle both grew up with a passion for the ocean lifestyle. Stephen grew up in FL learning to fish as young as he could hold onto a rod and eventually started making runs over to the Bahamas. Michelle grew up sailing in the Caribbean, on the Great Lakes and in the Chesapeake Bay, always loving fishing along the way. She eventually taught sailing and marine biology in the Florida Keys where her passion for spearfishing and fishing was ignited by the beautiful waters of the keys. Their passion for the ocean and fishing combined when they married and their calendar now revolves around fishing trips and tournaments, always making sure to schedule enough time in the kitchen to make an amazing dish out of their catches. They live in St Pete Beach Florida and fish the Gulf of Mexico there with their boys Jacob and Jackson and their Boston Terrier, Red (who hates to miss a boat ride!). Stephen and Michelle love all different types of fishing, but arguably their favorite fish to target is wahoo. They spend time in the Gulf targeting Gag Grouper while bottom fishing, deep-dropping for Queen Snapper, Kitty Mitchell Grouper, Yellow Edge Grouper and Scamp. The team looks forward to wahoo season where they speed many days high-speed trolling for the tasty pelagics. During tournament in Florida, you can find them on the podium with some heavy Kingfish. When in the Bahamas, Stephen and Michelle love to freedive and pole-spear for Hogfish, Grouper, Lobster and Snapper, as well as troll for Tuna, Wahoo, Marlin and deep-drop species like Queen Snapper and Grouper. Competing throughout the year, some of the major tournaments on their schedule include: Meat Mayhem Wahoo Tournaments, Old Salt Fishing Series- Ladies Tournament and King of the Beach, Old Bahama Bay Wahoo Charity Cup, Pelagic Shamrock Shootout. Accomplishments: 2 top 5 finishes in key west Marlin tournament. Won old salt ladies tournament largest grouper. 3 top 10 finishes at Bimini wahoo meat mayhem tournaments. Top finish at Meat Mayhem Wahoo Invitational. Michelle featured in spearing magazine twice as a top woman freediver.
