Whitney is a Kentucky native that found her love for saltwater fishing in 2015 when she first moved to Charleston, SC for her residency year. While she grew up fishing freshwater lakes, there was no doubt she was hooked on saltwater fishing after her first trip out on the big blue. While Whitney spends a lot of her time as a Clinical Pharmacist in the Operating Room at the Medical University of South Carolina, any day she is off work she can be found on the water with Capt. Johnston McCurry and their family owned charter company, 4 Sons Charters out of Charleston, SC. Capt. Johnston and Whitney have grown 4 Sons Charters into the largest charter company in South Carolina, and they have an incredible outreach to our Lady Anglers of all fishing levels. Whitney has taken the time to build a community that includes girls from all over the country that travel to fish with their team, hosting 100+ girls each year for fishing experiences! Whitney looks forward to using her Pro Team platform to encourage more and more women to get involved with saltwater fishing and all that it entails. Whitney has traveled across the world fishing. From Costa Rica to Aruba, she has fished a wide variety of fisheries and caught many bucket list fish. However, her favorite place to be is at home on the water running the lines to catch dolphin (mahi mahi), wahoo, blackfin tuna, and billfish with Capt. Johnston!
